# Programming Basics in C#
This topic builds the habit of translating a small statement into a precise console program. You will read values with `Console.ReadLine()`, convert text with `int.Parse` or related parsing methods, store intermediate results in variables, use arithmetic and comparisons, and print only the required answer.
Pay attention to integer arithmetic: `/` between integers performs integer division, `%` returns the remainder, and comparison operators produce `bool`. For conditions, make branches exhaustive and avoid overlapping rules. When a task asks for a range, parity, sign, or divisibility check, write the mathematical condition first and only then translate it to C#.
A reliable workflow is: identify the input values β state the exact formula or condition β compute in named steps β print the result. Do not add prompts such as `Enter n:` because automated tests compare output exactly.
